What we do

Most of our work is chimneys: rebuilding them, repointing them and relining them so they're safe to use again. We also install wood stoves and inserts, and repair hearths, fireplaces and stonework.

  • Chimney rebuilds

    When a chimney is leaning, crumbling or letting water in, patching only buys time. We take it down and rebuild it properly.

    20-year warranty on full rebuilds

  • Repointing

    Mortar wears out long before brick does. We grind out the failing joints and repoint them, which keeps water out and stops bricks working loose.

  • Stainless steel liners Our specialty

    A lot of older masonry chimneys aren't safe for the stove or furnace they're venting. A properly sized stainless liner fixes that, for wood stoves, inserts and oil furnaces.

  • Wood stove installation

    We install the stove and run the chimney for it. We're WETT certified, which is the standard home insurers look for on wood-burning installs.

  • Fireplace inserts

    An open fireplace sends most of its heat up the chimney. An insert turns it into a real heat source. We install the insert and line the chimney to suit it.

  • Masonry, hearths & fireplaces

    Hearths, fireboxes, stone walls and general brickwork, for homes and commercial buildings.

Repointing, up close

Mortar is the first thing to go on a chimney. Caught early, a repoint is usually all it needs. Both photos are from our own jobs.

What we found. A buff brick chimney we were called out to, with the mortar washed out along one face. Left alone, every freeze pushes those joints further apart.
